Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc., in conjunction with the IRWA, hosted a seminar on Appraising Ornamental and Forest Trees. This class has been approved for 8 hours of Wisconsin Appraiser Continuing Education.

Edward F. Steigerwaldt, President, is proud to announce that his staff includes four Certified General Appraisers and one Licensed Real Estate Appraiser. A Certified General Appraiser is state licensed to conduct appraisals of all types of real estate, with no limits on transaction value. LeeAnn Steigerwaldt and Jeff Olson are both graduate foresters and recently earned their CGA licenses. The appraiser list also includes Robert Karl, Barbara Taves, and Edward Steigerwaldt.

Summer 2006

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. recently completed an extensive remodel and expansion of the Tomahawk office. The renovation project began in late 2005, and was completed in the summer of 2006. This involved adding roughly 1,800 square feet, bringing the total office size up to just over 6,200 square feet. The construction project created new office space for a growing staff and remodeled the existing space to create a much more efficient work environment.

June 2006

The Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Consulting Foresters (ACF) recently hosted the ACF annual national meeting. The meeting was held this past June in Stevens Point and included technical sessions, field tours, a banquet, and entertainment. Ed Steigerwaldt (second from right) is the acting national President. Steigerwaldt Land Services has been providing forestry services in the Lake State region since 1957. We continue to manage over 100,000 acres of clients’ forestland in the Lake States.

GIS continues to be an active part of the SLS business. We continue to build an extensive data library of GIS layers and digital aerial photography for the Lake States region for in-house and client applications. GIS technology has become an integral part of all aspects of our business, including forestry, appraisals, and right of way projects.

In addition to our forestry and GIS services, we continue to be a leader in providing land appraisals, right-of-way negotiations and acquisitions, and resource studies. We also have GPS capabilities with Trimble and recreational grade GPS equipment. As always, our goal remains to provide the highest quality, professional consulting services in an economical and timely fashion.
