and Administration:
Private Management Specialist since September 1995. Performs all
aspects of timber sale administration including initial consultations,
silvicultural prescriptions, timber sale contracts, and harvest supervision.
Forest Inventory and Cruising:
Extensive cruising experience throughout forestry career. Supervises
numerous, large-scale inventories for forest management and planning
purposes.
Forest Management Planning:
Prepares and implements forest management plans for private landowners,
including extensive work with the WDNR tax law programs.
Appraisals:
Manages and performs timber appraisals and stumpage analysis on small,
private ownerships. Provides expertise for large appraisal projects
on federal and industrial forest lands.
Aerial Photo Mapping and Interpretation:
Skilled in interpreting black and white, true- color, and color-infrared,
aerial photography for a wide range of forestry applications.
Wildlife Management:
Utilizes forest management practices to enhance wildlife habitat.
These practices include retaining den trees and snags, wildlife
plantings, and seeding roads and landing areas.
Tree Planting and Site Preparation:
Experienced in proper tree planting technique and supervision of
tree planting crews. |
