Experience includes forest inventory and timber cruising in the Lake States ecosystems. Field experience includes conducting continuous forest inventory (CFI) for International Paper, hardwood/softwood timber marking, and assisting in timber sale setup and woods road design. Skills also include the summarization and presentation of inventory data, as well as the use of stand and individual tree modeling software (FVS and North Pro). Proficient in using professional grade (Trimble) and consumer grade GPS units for inventory and forest analysis. Training includes: the study of silvicultural techniques, inventory and forest data analysis, GIS use and analysis (ArcGIS9.0), and satellite/air photo interpretation.

Current responsibilities include: Assisting project foresters and senior staff in forest management, project research, preliminary data analysis, and a variety of field tasks. Primarily conducting forest inventory and updating existing inventory data.
