| Experience: |
Appraisals:
Responsible for timber appraisals and stumpage analyses on numerous
projects throughout the Lake States. Serves as an appraisal assistant
on forest land appraisal projects for timber land exchanges, sales,
and acquisitions.
Forest Inventory and Cruising:
Field and supervising forester with cruising experience on projects
totaling over one million acres. Experience includes cruises for
state, federal, and industrial clients, as well as detailed inventories
for forest management and planning purposes.
Forest Management:
Responsible for forest management plan development on over 80,000
acres of utility-owned land as part of FERC licensing projects. Also
responsible for the implementation of many of these plans, along
with overseeing the day to day management of over 115,000 acres of
client's forest lands.
Timber Sale Preparation and Administration:
Experience includes planning and directing forest management activities
accomplished through timber harvests. This includes developing silvicultural
prescriptions and assuring the correct field implementation.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS):
Experience includes the development of GIS projects and day to day
use of ArcView software on numerous projects throughout the Lake
States. Extensive experience has been gained in the application of
this technology in the forestry setting. Responsible for GIS project
design, personnel management, and proposal preparation.
Litigation and Expert Testimony:
Appeared as an expert witness, testifying on timber volumes, values,
and forest management practices for clients in Marquette County,
Michigan and Washburn and Langlade Counties, Wisconsin. Worked on
numerous other projects settled prior to court. |
